Richard C. Miller, PhD

Richard C. Miller, PhD, C-IAYT, ERYT-500 is a clinical psychologist, author, researcher, yogic scholar, and internationally respected teacher of the nondual wisdom traditions. For more than five decades, he has devoted his life to integrating the ancient teachings of Yoga, Tantra, Advaita, Taoism, and Buddhism with contemporary Western psychology and neuroscience, offering a living bridge between timeless wisdom and modern scientific understanding.

Dr. Miller is the founder of the iRest Institute and creator of the Integrative Restoration (iRest) Yoga Nidra® Meditation Program, an evidence-based approach widely used in healthcare, trauma recovery, education, and personal well-being. He is also a co-founder of the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT), the founding editor of its professional journal, and a founding member and former president of the Institute for Spirituality and Psychology, reflecting his long-standing commitment to integrating spirituality, science, and mental health.

Author of several seminal works—including Yoga Nidra: The Meditative Heart of Yoga, iRest Meditation: Restorative Practices for Health, Healing, and Well-Being, and The iRest Program for Healing PTSD—Dr. Miller leads international trainings, courses, and nondual meditation retreats focused on awakening, healing, and the embodiment of enlightened living in everyday life.
